April 2011 - on VHC Today's concept creator & co-founder, Scott Holland, donated the money & time to maintain this website for 2011.
February 7th, 2010 - Noon to 3pm . Free VHC Today practice hours will be offered at the McCloud Health Clinic, 116 E. Minnesota Ave, McCloud, CA.
January 17th, 2010 - Noon to 3pm . Free VHC Today practice hours will be offered by Jeanne Yalon-Owens of Siskiyou Medical Group, to be held at: 4309 Stagecoach Road, Dunsmuir, CA.

January 3rd, 2009 - Sam Williams, M.D. (Weed, CA) will be offering free VHC Today hours at Jim Parker, M.D.'s office (typically VHC Today hours are at the attending doctor's office) located next to the hospital in Mount Shasta at 822 Pine Street (530) 926-5261.
December 20th -Dr. Alan Cohn assisted by Lynn Linebarker, FNP, have graciously offered free practice hours before the New Year! Thank you! The free VHC Today hours will be noon to 3pm, at Good Medicine, 101 McCloud Road, Mount Shasta. Happy holidays to all!
December 8th - Dr Parker will explain VHC Today to Mt.Shasta Medical Staff. An invitation will be offered to specialists to join in 2010.
** December 6, 2009 - Starting in January 2010, local VHC Today hours have changed from every other Sunday, noon to 3pm; to the first & third Sunday of each month noon to 3pm.
December 6th - Jim Parker, M.D. is offering his third VHC Today free health care practice hours from noon to 3pm at his office located next to the Mount Shasta hospital at 822 Pine Street, Mount Shasta, CA 96067 (530) 926-5261.

November 22nd - Who has volunteered to help this project along in the month since started? Local attorney offered his skills to start a not- for- profit 501-3-c Corporation, chiropractor on call, Japanese masseuse offered to gently help those in need, cleaning team for the Sunday clinic, grant writer to help when established as a business, web page editor currently rewriting web page, professional photographers took photos for improving local web page, multiple active and retired nurses offering to serve the clinic, buttons made free by local retired new button businessman, the first $10 check arrived and bank account will be opened, pens ordered paid anonomously with VHC Today logo on pens, Pay It Forward sent us 50 bracelets and bumper stickers and put our clinic on their web page Payitforwardfoundation.org, local family counselor offered counseling services, local bookkeeper will help finances in order, local MCTV documented first two clinics and asked patients what their thoughts were, Mt.Shasta Herald promised to place bullet points of the momentum created by patients paying it forward, friends brought cookies on Sundays and offer to help by explaining concept to patients.
This concept is resonating with so many people at a core level!

November 19th - Jefferson Exchange interview by Keith Hente with Dr. Parker on the Ashland Public Radio Station. Callers asked questions. Mr. Hente wanted to know about hospital support, specialist support and where does this concept go from here. Dr Parker responded that we are still in the beginning stages, hospital support has been substantial by marked reduction in lab charges for uninsured patients, and eventually he envisioned specialists being asked to join with specialty clinics. Growth would come dependent on how well we did locally. People with skills are calling him everyday asking how they can help!
November 15, 2009 - The second VHC Today clinic was attended by 13 patients and all 13 promised to Pay It Forward.
November 1, 2009 - The Mount Shasta Newspaper not only wrote a great article on VHC Today, it has offer to double ad space for VHC Today at no additional cost to allow space for updates and stories in addition to the ad stating the location/time/date of VHC Today hours. Thanks for you ongoing community spirit & support too!
November 1, 2009 - VHC Today's launch on Channel 12 news. Channel 12 continued it support of local communities by sending a news team to cover the launch for the nightly news.
November 1, 2009 - Pay It Forward foundation features VHC Today at www.payitforwardfoudation.org & the same philosophy found in Pay It Forward (novel & motion picture) is being used in VHC Today. Pay It Forward also donated wrist bands and bumper stickers that made it feel that much more real.
November 1, 2009 - The first VHC Today practice hours made possible by Jim Parker, M.D. & his staff was a great success. 12 patients were seen and everyone who participated expressed a great sense of satisfaction & pride. It was simply wonderful to see so many smiles after a year of work to create VHC Today. Thank you to all who participated. A local man even stopped in with VHC Today/Pay It Forward buttons he made that made us all look professional with them on our lapels. The local community's response to the VHC Today concept has been nothing less than inspirational.
